SUMANA B.
Founding Member and AMI Montessori Guide (0-6 Years)
Sumana.B is a Montessori guide with 10+ years of experience in working with children. She received the AMI 3-6 diploma from Navadisha Montessori Foundation in 2011. After working in Casa (3-6 years age group) she wanted to learn and understand more about the science behind infant development. She then completed her AMI Assistant to Infancy course (0-3 Years) from Montessori Institute of Bangalore in 2020. She is a Postgraduate in Biotechnology and has worked in the field of Food research. Her transition into the Montessori world started with looking for alternate school for her child, when she got fascinated by the scientific approach and research that Montessori education is built on. Thus, the journey began in 2010 and since then she continues to work passionately with children and parents in the field of Montessori education.
KUSHALATHA
AMI Montessori Guide (3-6 years)
Kushalatha is a Commerce graduate with an avid interest in handworks like crochet and calligraphy. After a decade of working in accounts field, her interest in child education was sparked by a brief period of interaction with children during craft sessions. Upon exploring, the child-oriented Montessori method resonated with her. In 2011 she completed her AMI certified Primary Diploma course in Chennai and went on to work with children from 3 to 6 years age group. Over the years as a Montessori guide, it has been her endeavour to offer support in formative years which she believes is crucial in the development of human life.
AISHWARYA RAJENDRAPRASAD
AMI Montessori Guide (0-6 years)
Aishwarya Rajendraprasad is a Biomedical Engineer who moved into the field of Montessori
Education after having multiple stints at the IT and Publishing industries, with a curiosity towards
early childhood development. During COVID, she pursued her first Orientation course from MTRT –
Hyderabad, which led to fuelling her passion for working with very young children. She went on to
do another Orientation course from NMF – Chennai, which further led to completing the AMI 3-6
diploma from Montessori Training and Research Trust (MTRT), Hyderabad in 2022. As an expecting
mother, she decided to do the AMI Assistant to Infancy course (0-3 Years) from Montessori Institute
of Bangalore and accomplished it in 2024. Aishwarya believes that the Montessori System imparts
education that is long lasting and helps form a child’s personality. She also believes that each child is
unique and it is important to recognize and nurture their potential right from an early age. When not
working, she enjoys spending time with her toddler, cooking, and playing chess.
KAVYA CHANDRASEKHAR
Founder and AMI Montessori Guide (0-18 Years)
Kavya Chandrasekhar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Post-Graduation Degree in Public Relations and Advertising. She holds AMI Diplomas at 0-3, 3-6, 6-12 and 12-18 years and is on the Training of Trainer’s Program at 0-3 level. She is the Founder of The Montessori School and Kriyasthala in Bengaluru (www.themontessorischool.org.in) which offers program for children from 12 months to 18 years of age.
An exposure to AMI training and programmes from early childhood to high school across the globe has helped her reach out to children and parents. Further, building communities to support development through cohesive and collaborative effort inspires her.
Additionally as an Executive Director at Montessori Institute of Bangalore
(www.montessoribangalore.org) -the AMI Training Centre in Bengaluru, she is committed to bringing AMI Training at all levels to build a team of educators, school leads and administrators invested in Montessori principles of Education. Through Reeva -Education for Life she looks forward to working with Montessori educators in establishing a high fidelity Montessori program in Mysuru.
